2026 Team Challenge - April 28 and May 5
Notice to Competitors and Rules of the Competition
April 28 and May 5 – 8:30 AM
Draw Party: Thursday, April 16 at 4:00 at The Vintage
Qualifications
Each participant must be a paid member of CCWGA and play to a maximum of 40 handicap, using the April 21 st handicap index.
Format
A 2-round match play tournament played between the Red Team and the Blue Team
Two partners from the Red Team are matched up against two partners from the Blue Team. Team match ups will be chosen by the team captains. All four participants play their own ball.
Single lowest NET score from each partnership determines if the hole is won or tied.
1 point is awarded for each Red vs Blue hole won; ½ point for each Red vs Blue hole tied.
The points from the first round and the second round are added together, and the team (Red or Blue) with the most total points wins.
Team Selections
Teams will be selected at a Draw Party to be held on Thursday, April 16, at 4:00 at The Vintage. You do not have to be present to have your name drawn. Light appetizers will be served. The Team Captains will then decide the partner pairs for their own team, and they will match up the Red vs Blue teams to create equitable competition teams.
Tees
Play will be from the Red tees
Rules
USGA rules govern all play except as modified by Crow Canyon local rules.
Scoring
Golf Genius will be used to compile and post scores for all players. Two hard copy scorecards will also be completed for back up.
Signups
Sign up for the Team Challenge are on the CCWGA website. You can sign up for both April 21 and April 28, or you can still participate if you can only play on one of the days. Sign up for the dates you can play.
